Corrections Policy

Last updated: May 2026

Use one clear path when results or guidance need correction.

The calculator and guides improve when you report precise findings. This page explains what we need from a report and how we evaluate what you send.

When to write

  • Wrong numbers from specific dates.
  • Edge-case behavior that contradicts common date rules.
  • Ambiguous phrasing that could lead to misuse.
  • Accessibility issues or broken links.

How to report

  • Include the calculator mode.
  • Include every date value used.
  • Include browser version or device if a rendering issue appeared.
  • Mention the expected result and what changed in your workflow.

Correction process

Reports are checked in sequence: reproducibility, result traceability, guidance updates, and publishing. If the issue is confirmed, we update the affected page and keep the correction path clear for future reports.

How calculation reports are checked

A useful calculation report includes the calculator mode, the start date, the end or reference date, and the result you expected. We compare that against the site's calendar-date method, including leap years, reverse ranges, countdown direction, and weekend filtering for working-day estimates.

If the calculator result is correct but the guide wording could lead to misuse, the guide language is updated instead of changing the calculation.

Scope

This policy covers calculator logic questions, guide correctness, link quality, and accessibility fixes. It does not provide legal, payroll, immigration, or policy adjudication advice.
